I was born in Norman, Oklahoma and have lived in Amarillo all my life.  I attended schools in Amarillo and would spend summers at our family’s ranch. My college years were spent at Texas Christian University, where I received my degree in Business Management, then furthered my education attending the Ranch Management Program.  I have been a rancher most of my life.  My wife, Claudia, and I were married September 8, 1979. 

Praise the Lord, I am very fortunate to have both of my parents still in my life.   I am thankful for three younger siblings:   Jim, Elise and Mary Ellen.  Claudia and I have been blessed with three children and two in-laws:  Luke and his wife, Stephanie, and Kirk (all reside in Fort Worth, Texas) and Liza and her husband, Andrew Rowlan, (who lives here in Amarillo).  We have great joy to have five perfect grandchildren:  Walker, Stella, Hunter, Hayes and Heath.
