Joshua Renninger

Joshua Renninger was born in Pennsylvania and spent his childhood on dairy farms in both Pennsylvania and Vermont. At eighteen he left the family farm and later earned a B.S. in Psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He remained in Virginia for eighteen years, fifteen of those years working in marketing, before moving with his family to Canyon, Texas, in 2020. There he reconnected with his agricultural roots by joining a local dairy ingredient manufacturing company.

Raised in a Christian home, Joshua cannot point to a single moment of conversion, yet in his mid-teens he began to take his faith seriously. During that time he grew in his understanding of the importance of the local church in the life of believers. In 2007 he attended a PCA congregation for the first time in Suffolk, Virginia.

The Renninger family began attending Redeemer Amarillo in the spring of 2021 and have been grateful to worship God here alongside many wonderful people. Joshua was ordained and installed as a Ruling Elder in December 2025.
Joshua counts his wife, Kara, as God’s greatest earthly gift. They were married in 2008 and are blessed with three sons who keep their home lively and full of activity.
