Leadership / Bio
Dr. Lee Stitzel
I was born in North Dakota to Robert and Roxie Stitzel and was raised in the Texas Panhandle. I completed my PhD at the University of Oklahoma in economics and serve as a professor of economics at West Texas A&M University. I research local and regional economic policy and teach macroeconomics, economics of the public sector, and sports economics. My wife, Andrea and I, have four kids, Titus, Addison Gideon and Abishai. I was raised in a Christian household and became Presbyterian in 2016, as the Lord convicted me of covenantal theology. I seek to live out my sanctification not through my own strength through Christ’s grace. I work to extend Christ’s kingdom through ruling my house well, building Christian community, and worshiping alongside fellow believers in the local church. In my role as Deacon, I seek to worship Almighty God through masculine leadership in the church, acts of service and mercy.
